I ordered a mug for myself and just got it. If you were wondering how the graphics appear, I can tell you that the cup appears to be unaltered (you can't tell where the image is by feeling). All nice and smooth but with the picture showing up as if it were part of the ceramic itself. Pretty nice, actually. Here's how it looks at 5 in the morning (yeah, I get up too early):
