Wish it was that easy. In the US they wanted a law against burning the US flag but when I was in the Boy Scouts we were taught that was the way to honorably dispose of a damaged or faded flag. Intelligent discourse and debate is exceptio9n not the rule regardless of race or religion.
Well, the gesture of burning the quran is disrespectful, no doubt, as well as an abuse of freedom of speech
but only an idiot would look at attacks on their religious figures, items and artifacts as danger to the quality & status of his/her religion
After all, we're the ones who give meaning to words, symbols…etc and if we believe that burning the quran or making a fb page impersonating Allah threatens Islam & devalues it, then we're the ones who just did so
Nevertheless, peaceful & informative positive retaliation rules (obviously not a popular skill)
"Once I rose above the noise and confusion, just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion. I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high."
"Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man. Though my mind could think I still was a madman. I hear the voices when I'm dreaming. I can hear them say."
"Carry on my waywward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, and don't you cry no more"
When I read this particular strip this song goes through my head.
Ah, the random tidbits of wisdom we glean from the most random things! Like when I watched Starwars I learned that being a cougar can emotionally scar your partner so badly that he'll become whiney and obsessive and try to kill you and your unborn children! Don't be a pedo!
Well, I could never figure what was so wrong about that Iraqi journalist throwing his shoe and Mr. Bush…didn’t we go to give them liberty and freedom–including freedom of speech?
Except that they believe the Quran IS Allah, not just his words. So burning it is a major issue.
I disagree with a flag-burning law for a very simple reason. Thousands upon thousands died to give people the right to be ignorant dickwads. And we want to honor that by making it illegal???
Heres hoping your message doesn't put you into the witness protection program brutha! o.O
Congratulations. Someone's decided to follow your example.
Huh?
Now that was pure brilliance.
I'll modestly agree

I'm pretty sure having a pithy saying for everything counts as a superpower.

That reminds me. They have the complete Kung Fu series boxed set at Amazon.

and freedom of expression and that man chose to express himself by throwing a shoe at the American president
